Mumbai Police arrested Sonu Subas Chander and Anuj Thapan in connection with the shooting outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s house. Anuj committed suicide in police custody today (May 1). He was 32 years old. NDTV published this news.

A source told the media, ‘Anuj was arrested from Punjab on April 26. He committed suicide by going to the attached bathroom of the lock-up around 11 am today. Along with Anuj, there were 10 other prisoners in the same lock-up. They were guarded by 4-5 policemen.

But the reason why Anuj Thapan committed suicide is not yet known, the source said that the investigation is going on.

Senior Maharashtra police officer PK Jain told NDTV, “All the policemen of the police station will be questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for this incident.”

In the early hours of April 14, two men opened fire at Salman Khan’s house. The incident took place while the police were deployed in front of the house. Anuj Thapan and Sonu Subas Chand are accused of supplying these weapons.

Lawrence Bishnoi threatened to kill Salman Khan over blackbuck poaching incident. The blackbuck is considered sacred to the Bishnoi community. In 1998, Salman Khan was accused of killing two blackbucks while shooting a movie in Jodhpur. Since then Salman has been the eyesore of the Bishnoi community. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has threatened to kill Salman Khan with a sharp shooter several times before.
