Shooting in the United States: Three civilians killed

Philadelphia: Philadelphia is the largest city in the US state of Pennsylvania. Here, in a bustling area with bars, hotels and entertainment venues, large crowds gathered the evening before the weekend.

A mysterious mob arrived at the scene, opened fire on civilians and escaped. Three people, including a woman, collapsed at the same spot and died. Eleven injured people have been rescued and admitted to hospital.

The investigation has been stepped up. Incidents of shootings have been on the rise in the United States in recent times.
