Shooting incident at New York subway station: At least 16 people were injured

A shooting incident occurred at a subway station in New York today (Tuesday). At least 5 people have been shot, and a total of 16 people have been injured so far in the incident, according to reports. The shooter fled the scene and is not currently apprehended.

The shooter reportedly arrived with a construction worker’s gas vest mask, threw a smoke grenade at the crowd and then started firing.

Police were called to the train station around 8:30 a.m. (New York time), and smoke was said to be seen from inside the station. There is currently no further information regarding the case.
