Fatorda: Kerala Blasters co-coach Ishfaq Ahmed says he was not disappointed not to get the yellow jersey in the ISL (ISL 2021-22) final. Ishfaq Ahmed told Asianet News that he has a chance to win the title for the injured Sahal Abdul Samad. Ishfaq Ahmed is also the leader of the Blasters.
Kerala Blasters will play in the ISL tomorrow. The rivals are the mighty Hyderabad FC. The match will start at 7.30 pm in Goa. The Blasters, who play in the third final, and Hyderabad, who play in the first final, are aiming for the maiden title. The Blasters defeated Jamshedpur in the semifinals and Hyderabad beat ATK Mohan Bagan.
Kerala Blasters will not be able to wear the yellow jersey in the ISL final. Hyderabad can wear the home jersey as they score more points in the league stage. However, the yellow team in the gallery is likely to be wearing the Blasters’ home jersey. The Blasters players arrive wearing black and blue striped jerseys on the field while bathing in the gallery yellow.
The Kerala Blasters reached the semi-finals by defeating Jamshedpur FC 2-1 in both quarters to clinch the League Winners’ Shield. Hyderabad FC beat last season’s runners-up ATK Mohan Bagan 3-2 to reach the final. The Blasters and Hyderabad won each match when they clashed in the league stage.
