Should we give up cryptocurrencies? – Debate of the day

They were presented to us as the future of our currencies. Cryptocurrencies were to be our future. Where our euros and our CFAs were promised in 30 or 40 years to no longer have any value. But then, on Monday, it was a memorable hangover in the cryptocurrency community: FTX, one of the main platforms, was bankrupt. Its bankruptcy has shaken and continues to shake cryptocurrencies.

Can we still trust digital currencies and the platforms that manage them? Or do we need more regulation? More control in a sector that was built against banks, central banks and states? Beyond FTX which is unscrewing bitcoin and Ethereum, the crashes have multiplied.
