Show cause notice to Urmila-Saju Khadem

Actresses Urmila Srabanti Kar and Saju Khadem have been issued show-cause notices by the small screen actors’ organization Abhinashili Sangh for allegedly indulging in anti-organizational activities. The notice was sent on September 7.

Ahsan Habib Nasim, President of the Actors’ Union, said, “On September 5, it was decided to send a show cause notice (show cause) to them in a meeting of the executive committee. Later the letter was sent on September 7. According to Article 7.5 of the Constitution, they have been mourned.

It is known that in this section it is said that if they engage in any activities against the organization, they can be punished by the organization. However, Ahsan Habib Nasim did not say what kind of work they did against the organization.

Saju Khadem is the organizing secretary of the present committee of the Actors Sangh and Urmila Srabanti is serving as the Secretary of Tax Law and Welfare Affairs. Both of them confirmed that they have received the notice sent by the organization.

In this regard, Urmila Srabanti Kar said that they have got seven working days to reply to the notice. Accordingly, the last day is September 14. The actress also said that she is preparing to answer.

During the anti-discrimination student movement, screenshots of a conversation between some Awami League leaders and artists known to be close to the party were spread on social media a few days ago. These leaders and artists were against the movement in a WhatsApp group called ‘Alo Ashbei’. There is still a storm of criticism on social media with these screenshots. Meanwhile, the ‘anti-discrimination’ artists have raised demands for reforms by abolishing the entire committee of the Sangh.

The leaked WhatsApp group included — Rokeya Prachi, Sohana Saba, Aruna Biswas, former MP Ferdous, Riaz Ahmed, Shami Kaiser, Sweety, Masood Pathik, former MP Arafat, Ashna Habib Bhavna, Jyotika Jyoti, Shamima Tushti, Urmila Srabanti Kar, Saju Khadem and others.
