During the afternoon, cloud cover is expected to increase in high areas, with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms in mountain areas and some in different parts of the volcanic mountain range, with emphasis on the northern and western areas, and less likely for central, eastern and coastal areas.
Until late afternoon and early evening, showers and thunderstorms are expected in eastern parts of the country and its coasts; a lower probability of rain is estimated for the rest of the territory.
Temperatures will be cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon.
These conditions are associated with the proximity of a low pressure to the south of the Gulf of Mexico, interacting with a stationary front to the north of the Gulf, which limits its movement to the north, and also interacts with a low pressure south of Tehuantepec, which keeps the ITCZ close, with additional moisture from the Pacific, towards the Pacific coast of Central America and El Salvador. These unstable conditions will generate extensive cloudiness, with showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and some during the night.
