Dubai ∙ C. Shukur alias Shukur Vakil, a lawyer and film actor of Kanhangad Hos Durg Bar, married his own wife again after 28 years and courted controversy, his brother C. Muneer in Dubai said that he should have been aware of his surroundings.

The marriage ceremonies were held at the Hozdurg registrar’s office in the presence of their children. Munir’s wife Shakira was the first witness. Under Muslim personal law, daughters do not have equal rights in property if their parents die. Father’s brothers get property rights. Those who marry under the Special Marriage Act are not affected by Muslim Personal Law. Muneer said that since the news that his elder brother is remarrying his elder sister, all his acquaintances have started calling to inquire about the matter. I was tired of answering all of them and had to turn off my phone. As a younger brother, many people asked whether I am also unknowingly a participant in this matter.
