SIAM positions itself today as a unique space for exchange and communication around the vision and agricultural development strategy of the Kingdom as well as offering a suitable opportunity for meetings with the various partners, both national and international. international organizations, declared to the press Mr. Sadiki who was visiting the SIAM site, scheduled for April 22 to 28 under the theme “Climate and agriculture: For sustainable and resilient production systems”.
Mr. Sadiki, who was accompanied by the wali of the Fez-Meknes region, governor of the prefecture of Fez, Said Zniber, the governor of the prefecture of Meknes, Abdelghani Sabbar, the president of the SIAM Association, Mohammed Fikrat, the Acting Commissioner of SIAM, Kamal Hidane, discussed on this occasion the progress of the development work on the site and the various aspects linked to the organization of this unmissable event on the agricultural scene. .
He was keen to highlight the major role of the show in promoting sustainable agricultural practices, technological innovation, trade and international cooperation.
In a similar statement, Mr. Fikrat noted that the ambition of organizing this 16th edition is to provide a space of influence, dialogue and innovation, conducive to the exchange of good practices and initiation and the strengthening of strategic partnerships, adding that the emphasis this year was placed on the introduction of several new products with the aim of creating an easy-to-access and fluid space for the benefit of exhibitors and the general public.
The Acting Commissioner of SIAM, Kamal Hidane, for his part, stressed that preparations are going well to offer an exemplary organization for this 16th edition, adding that the efforts deployed in this direction reflect the commitment of all stakeholders. to guarantee the development of Moroccan and international agriculture.
Organized annually under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, SIAM is one of the largest agricultural events in Africa and the Middle East. The 16th edition will see the participation of Spain as guest of honor.
Occupying an area of more than 12 hectares, the event promises, according to the organizers, to be an enriching experience for professionals and the general public.
The 2024 edition will see the participation of nearly 70 countries and 1,500 exhibitors. More than 950,000 visitors are expected this year at this event for Moroccan and international agriculture. In addition, more than 40 conferences and round tables will be organized as part of this show.
The 16th edition is marked, in particular, by the introduction of a new “Agri-Digital” pole, illustrating the role of digital technologies in the service of more efficient and more resilient agriculture, the significant extension of the “products of Terroir”, promoting Moroccan agricultural diversity and the introduction of the E-ticket to improve access conditions.
