An activist of the democratic movement died Sergei Matskoytwho was often seen in the front rows of opposition demonstration columns in Minsk.

“Sergey was an active defender of the Kurapats during the construction of the road. Matskoyts was detained so many times that he himself could not somehow name the exact number. He was arrested so many times in Akrestin that apparently he knew almost all the cells of this infamous institution,” journalist Lyubov Lunyova wrote on Facebook.

The death occurred on November 3, but it became known about it only on December 22.
