The meeting, chaired by Sidi Kacem Governor El Habib Nadir, provided an opportunity to review the progress of the partnership agreement signed in June between the CPDH and the Moroccan Center for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (MCISE) concerning women’s economic empowerment.
Additionally, a partnership agreement was signed to enhance healthcare services in the province.
The projects under the third phase of the INDH were implemented using a participatory and innovative approach, according to Mr. Nadir. He emphasized the collaborative efforts of various governance bodies in achieving the initiative’s goals.
He also mentioned projects implemented at the provincial level, including the creation of over 300 preschool education units, the construction and equipping of three maternity hospitals, and the financing of income-generating projects within the 3rd phase.
The governor acknowledged the need for self-assessment despite the implemented projects and highlighted recommendations from the CPDH meeting in June to revitalize INDH actions and accelerate their pace.
He also emphasized the importance of evaluating project impact on beneficiaries and providing recommendations in a detailed report to address identified shortcomings.
The head of the social action department in Sidi Kacem, Meriem Othmani, presented the results of projects under the fourth phase of the INDH, reviewed the financial situation until October, and discussed the progress of the 2023 action plan.
Two partnership agreements were signed to enhance healthcare at the provincial level, with a total value exceeding 3 MDH. This aims to expand and improve healthcare services and support the healthcare system, particularly in maternal and child health.
