Part of the Malagasy delegation that took part in the Francophonie games arrived overnight from Sunday to Monday at Ivato airport. It is mainly made up of those who have participated in the cultural and artistic contests of the competition. Sidonie Fiadanantsoa, one of three Madagascan gold medalists in the competition, was also there.
The Ministry of Communication and Culture organized a less symbolic but very significant welcome for the representatives of culture in this competition. Forgotten by her supervisory ministry, she did not even dare to take a family photo with all the other representatives of the artistic and cultural discipline. We hope that the Ministry of Youth and Sports will be able to make up for its shortcomings towards this athlete.
With the approach of the Indian Ocean Island Games which will take place from August 25 to September 9, the grumbling of federation officials is already being heard, particularly in the face of the lack of means intended for the groups of athletes who are training for the next competitions.
