SIEL 2024: Focus on cultural intelligence and technological innovations

During this debate, the speakers highlighted the importance of knowing others and the need to open up to different cultures, in order to facilitate collaboration and cooperation between countries.

In this sense, the experts raised important points relating to the porosity marking the relationship between cultural and economic intelligence, returning in detail to several concrete cases of companies and decision-makers who have chosen the path of synergy between these two forms of intelligence.

Furthermore, they unanimously affirmed that Artificial Intelligence (AI) and new technologies are called upon to contribute more to managerial decision-making and the strategic development of companies, stressing that the latter have enabled several companies to distinguish themselves and transcend the challenges linked to Covid-19.

Through their personal experiences and their pragmatic visions on the subject of cultural intelligence, the speakers attempted to deliver an exhaustive reflection of the issues related to digital transformations in Morocco, Europe and the United States.

In addition to these social and managerial aspects, cultural intelligence has been perceived through the geopolitical prism, according to which a good understanding of one’s own culture and that of others makes it possible to effectively confront any attempt at hegemony and to operate a better decryption of the universe and its dynamics.

Stressing the importance of building bridges of rapprochement and establishing contact with others, the speakers also highlighted the contribution of translation to intercultural communication, giving rise to a new intellectual wealth that revolves around living together and tolerance.

Placed under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI and organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication in partnership with the Wilaya of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region and the Municipality of Rabat, the 29th edition of SIEL saw the participation of 743 exhibitors representing 48 countries, with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as guest of honor.
