The university’s participation in the fair, which continues until May 19 in Rabat, is structured around a rich and varied cultural program, which includes various activities “led by the different institutions affiliated to the university and this, within the framework of diversified knowledge centers and cultural and scientific activities to facilitate the inclusion targeting detained students and those with disabilities,” the university said in a statement.

As part of this edition, the Mohammed V University stand will host, on Saturday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m., Mohamed Noureddine Affaya, thinker and professor of contemporary philosophy and aesthetics, director of the Academic Institute of Arts at the Academy of the Kingdom, as this year’s guest of honor to host a meeting on the theme “The University and the question of elites”, adds the same source.

On this occasion, a tribute will be paid to Pr Hafida Mderssi, Professor-Researcher at the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Director of the Center for Reception, Information, Orientation and Monitoring (CAIOS), as a sign of recognition for her “pioneering contributions to the service of the university and its students”, in the presence of the interim president of UM5, Farid El Bacha, the vice-presidents, deans and directors of the university’s establishments, several personalities and visitors to the university stand.

The university’s programme also includes the organisation of round tables, seminars, conferences and competitions, which will be hosted by university establishments within the framework of different knowledge centres (scientists and technologies centre, scientific research institutes, legal, economic and social sciences centre, engineering centre, health sciences centre, as well as activities related to language learning, education sciences centre and literature and humanities centre).
