SIEL 2024: The Court of Auditors participates with a program on the consolidation of the control culture

The Court’s participation in this event, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aims to establish a culture based on openness and complementarity of roles between financial jurisdictions and stakeholders, including citizens, indicates a press release from the Court of Auditors.

In this context, the Court has developed a programme to inform SIEL visitors of the missions and responsibilities entrusted to it as a supreme institution for the control of public finances whose mission is to consolidate and protect the principles and values ​​of good governance, transparency and accountability.

This programme includes three scientific conferences supervised by senior officials of the financial jurisdictions, focusing on the contribution of the Court in improving the quality of public performance, its jurisprudence in the field of protection of public funds, as well as the strengthening of the principles of transparency and the moralisation of public life through the control and monitoring of the mandatory declaration of assets.

Furthermore, the press release states, the Court plans meetings within its stand on its attributions and its relationship with the powers and constitutional institutions, as well as the contribution of the regional courts of auditors in improving the management of public equipment and services, thus creating an impact on territorial management.

This is also a meeting dedicated to the reception and processing of reports from citizens to financial jurisdictions.

In addition, and as part of a partnership with the High Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Court of Auditors is participating in the hosting of a joint conference on the moralisation of public life.

The Court of Auditors’ stand will exhibit the publications of the financial courts, namely annual reports and thematic reports, collections of decisions and judgments rendered by these courts within the framework of their jurisdictional attributions, as well as a digital collection covering the main publications since 2003.

The third consecutive participation of the Court of Auditors in this international event is part of the implementation of its communication strategy, which marks a new stage characterized by openness towards stakeholders through the diversification of means of citizen participation and the strengthening of the culture of integrity, transparency and accountability in our country, underlines the press release.
