Initiated in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, UNESCO and other partners, this collective workshop brought together more than 100 target children. this program with the aim of raising awareness of heritage through cultural and artistic education.
This edition is characterized by the organization of an educational trip by the Foundation for the benefit of schoolchildren from Taroudant to Rabat to participate in the collective workshop alongside their peers from Rabat, following the launch for the first time of its educational programs in Taroudant “I discover my heritage – Taroudant” and “I draw my heritage – Taroudant”, Mouna Belbekri, head of educational programs at the Foundation, told MAP.
This initiative comes after the Al Haouz earthquake to raise awareness among young people of the importance of safeguarding tangible and intangible cultural heritage, she said, noting that as part of this program, guided tours will be organized for the benefit of these children, under the supervision of curators of historical sites and monuments in the capital of the Kingdom.
As part of the “I draw my heritage” program, budding artists are first made aware of heritage through classroom research work and are then supervised by inspectors and teachers in visual arts, before exhibiting their creations. on the Foundation’s website.
Note that the Foundation for the Safeguarding of the Cultural Heritage of Rabat works to actively mobilize experts and public and private actors in order to perpetuate and transmit the historical, architectural, artistic, landscape, material and intangible values of the cultural heritage of the capital of the Kingdom.
