‘Sight’ as a huge free eye project; Mammootty submits to Nadu – News18 Malayalam

Kochi: Mammootty-led charity CARE & SHARE International Foundation and Little Flower Hospital have jointly organized ‘Kazhcha-3 2021’ for Mammootty Nadu. The project coincides with the Golden Jubilee of Angamaly Little Flower Eye Bank.

The new project is a continuation of the two visionary projects that Mammootty himself had implemented earlier. Vision 3 offers one lakh free eye examinations for adults in Kerala and Lakshadweep, school screening programs for half a lakh children, 5,000 cataract surgeries and eye transplant surgeries.

Eligible people will be joined by Care and Share International Foundation and Littleflower Hospital. Presenting the project, Mammootty said that it has been decided to provide free eye examinations, 50 free eye transplants, 500 spectacles and 5000 cataract surgeries to half a lakh people and more than 50,000 children in various camps in connection with the Golden Jubilee.

Former Presidents Monsignor Sebastian Vadakumbadan, Father Dr. Paul Madden, Father Sebastian Kalappuraikkal and Dr. TP Ittira were honored to lead the Golden Jubilee Eye Bank. The Managing Director of the International Foundation for Care and Share, Fr. Rev. Thomas Kurian Marottipuzha, General Secretary, I Bank Association Kerala; Father. Dr. Varghese Palatti, Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, Dr. Elizabeth Joseph, Medical Superintendent, Head of the Department of Cardiology, Dr. Stiji Joseph, and Dr. Thomas Cherian, Senior Retinal Surgeon, Department of Ophthalmology.

Individuals and organizations with the ability and willingness to organize camps in Kerala and Lakshadweep can be part of the scheme.
