A Lifeline for Those in need

Keferloher’s involvement with the Together-For-Each-Other association spans more than 30 years. Since 2017, she has served as the association’s secretary, and prior to that, held the role of treasurer for four years. The association provides crucial support to individuals facing difficult circumstances. Felbermeier specifically noted her compassionate visits to the sick and those in need,saying,”You accompany,you encourage,you give time – perhaps the most valuable thing you can give.”

Leading the Local Football Club

For the past 13 years, Keferloher has also been the chairwoman of FC Ottershausen, a recreational football club boasting 300 members. She stepped into the role when no one else was willing to take on the responsibility. “You are the good soul of the football field hut,” Felbermeier remarked. Beyond managing the club, she orchestrates community events, from summer festivals to the church’s nativity play, making her an indispensable figure in Ottershausen.

Recently, Keferloher added another volunteer role to her already full plate, becoming a school helper. “The children expect someone to stand there,” the mayor explained, expressing gratitude for her dedication.

“As a grandmother, I have another volunteer position with my three grandchildren,” Keferloher shared with a smile. She admitted to being somewhat surprised by the extent of her commitments during the heartfelt speech. Despite the attention, keferloher remains a modest individual, hoping to maintain her health and continue her volunteer work for years to come.

Birgit Weber contributed to the party by creating a decorative pillar topped with a crown for the award recipient, a fitting tribute to Keferloher’s well-deserved recognition, flowers, and special prize.
