“Rocket tests have allowed us to assess the correctness of the design and technical solutions,” it said.

President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, Referring to the experiment, he said that “this unique weapon will really strengthen the fighting potential of our armed forces, reliably ensure Russia’s security from external threats, and cause those who in the heat of the frenetic and aggressive rhetoric are trying to threaten our country.”

The RS-28 Sarmat is a Russian intercontinental ballistic missile propelled by a liquid fuel that is supposed to replace the SS-18. The missile is huge and its total weight should exceed 100 tons. Its extremely high carrying capacity allows it to carry a warhead with ten heavier or lighter 16 nuclear warheads, or a combination of a large number of countermeasures to deal with ballistic missile interception systems.
