Signalers can leave frequencies from Wimax for another year

by time news

The State Commission on Radio Frequencies may briefly extend the permission for operators to use 3.4-3.6 GHz frequencies for wireless access using Wimax technology. The previous ten-year permit expired in March this year, but not all operators have stopped serving subscribers.

The meeting of the SCRF is scheduled for June 16. On its agenda is the issue of extending the permission to use the 3.4-3.6 GHz frequencies, issued to wireless Internet operators back in 2011. This is a temporary and rather short permission – until April 1, 2022, follows from the materials for the meeting, which Vedomosti got acquainted with.
