This MoU, whose signing ceremony was chaired by the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil and the Director General of CDG, Khalid Safir, provides a conventional framework for collaboration for the creation of a national network of zones logistics, located in several regions of the Kingdom and having a major impact on territorial planning and the efficiency of different economic value chains.
In a press statement following this ceremony, Mr. Abdeljalil indicated that this memorandum of understanding aims to accelerate the implementation of the development of logistics platforms in Morocco.
“This development constitutes an essential pillar of the National Strategy for the Development of Logistics Competitiveness, aiming to rationalize flows through dedicated infrastructure by reducing transport and logistics costs and helping to stimulate the economic development of the country” , underlined the minister.
The memorandum was initialed by Ghassane El Machrafi, general director of AMDL, Mustapha Lahboubi, member of the management board of CDG Développement and Mohssine Semmar, chairman of the management board of MEDZ.
This partnership also makes it possible to support the acceleration initiated at the level of the infrastructure program piloted by the AMDL, pillar of the National Strategy for the Development of Logistics Competitiveness.
This program also aims to provide logistics land developed to the best standards, intended to house logistics buildings and installations, at the level of zones of massification and concentration of flows of goods and nodes of the supply chain for improvement the efficiency and performance of the national economy.
It will also contribute to meeting a growing demand for logistics real estate, driven by a progressive sophistication of the Moroccan economy and by a necessary structuring of flows in urban areas, by constituting a site for the convergence of public action in the service of competitiveness. territories.
