Initialed by the presidents of the FAAIE, Driss Guerraoui, of the SCIP, Paul Santilli and of the AIFIE, Philippe Clerc, this memorandum marks the official launch of the Center which aims to carry out studies and activities of common interest to the three institutions, promote and develop economic intelligence projects, organize training cycles with a view to strengthening the capacities of companies, territories and central and local administrations in Africa and around the world in terms of economic intelligence.
Its missions also include sharing expertise and exchanging information and documentation between members of the three organizations, developing partnerships between the international research and training center in public and private, governmental and non-governmental institutions. , local, national and international, requesting the expertise, knowledge and know-how of the center.
On this occasion, Mr. Guerraoui recalled that the creation of this international Center was recorded in Dakhla in December 2023, on the occasion of the 4th edition of the Forum of African Economic Intelligence Associations, organized as part of the activities of the Open University of Dakhla.
The president of the FAAIE also announced that this partnership between the three organizations recognized for their action and their contribution to promoting the practical roles of economic intelligence and which shine on an international scale will make it possible to organize training cycles with a view to strengthening the capacities of companies, territories and central and local administrations on the African continent and in the world in terms of economic intelligence.
And to add that the choice of the city of Dakhla to house this International Center testifies to the city’s leadership in the field of economic intelligence and will make it possible to establish it as a center of excellence in this area.
For his part, the president of the AIFIE, which has its headquarters in Paris, welcomed the signing of this memorandum establishing the creation of this Center, which will make it possible to share expertise and exchange information and documentation between members of the three organizations.
Referring to the missions of the AIFIE, Mr. Clerc affirmed that it aims to promote the concept and practices of French-speaking economic intelligence, in particular through research, training and foresight, in addition to exchanging, detecting best practices and stimulate innovation through the search for new economic and cultural efficiencies.
For the president of the SCIP, whose headquarters is located in San Antonio (USA), this partnership will allow the three organizations to work together to strengthen the leadership of the different players in the field of economic intelligence.
It will serve as an appropriate partnership platform in Africa and around the world for the various stakeholders in this area, noted Mr. Santilli.
The FAAIE and the SCIP and the AIFIE had jointly agreed to make Dakhla the headquarters of the International Center for Research and Training in Economic Intelligence.
