The agreement was signed at the Cergy Departmental Council by René Ricot, president of the ANMONM section in Val d’Oise and Mr. Bayassine, in the presence of the prefect of Val d’Oise, the president of the Departmental Council, the president of the chamber of commerce and the departmental director for employment, work and solidarity as well as local elected officials, notably of Moroccan origin and Moroccan nationals established in the region.

On this occasion, Mr. Ricot stressed that the two institutions that signed this agreement share the same values of solidarity and are together seeking the emergence of a society that respects citizens, is rich in social ties, values effort and allows motivated souls to have every chance of success regardless of their origin or social status.

He said that the agreement intends in particular to establish collaboration on the main current and future challenges as well as on the decisive role of the digital tool for the development and future of French society.

According to him, the two institutions will work to provide specific responses to the needs of young people by developing and encouraging bridges between the educational environment and civil society and supporting initiatives by local authorities and public authorities aimed at promoting in particular the development of digital training and by providing computer equipment to disadvantaged young people.

The two institutions will also work to provide support and reward young people and educators who particularly distinguish themselves in their educational curriculum, individually or collectively.

For his part, the prefect of Val d’Oise, Xavier Delarue, welcomed this initiative which adds to the efforts made by various local and national stakeholders aimed at promoting equal opportunities through digital training, particularly for people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

On this occasion, he assured the two institutions of the full support of the local authorities with the aim of broadening the scope of this wonderful experience and making it available to as many young people as possible, especially since Digital France School, labelled “Grande école numérique” (Digital School of Excellence), offers free training leading to a diploma recognised by the State.

For his part, Mahjoub Bayassine returned to the genesis of this pioneering school in France which aims in particular to combat the digital divide of populations from disadvantaged neighborhoods.

Mr. Bayassine, who recalled the objectives and values upheld by his school, announced the launch of a Bac+3 training course next year, while expressing the wish to be able to extend the Digital France School experience beyond French borders.

In addition to digital training, and as part of his efforts to combat digital exclusion, Mr. Bayassine recalled the establishment of a digital platform that allows committed companies to donate computer equipment, including computers, which are then distributed to young people in difficulty to enable them to continue their education in the best possible conditions.

At the end of the signing ceremony of this partnership agreement between ANMONM and Digital France School, Mahjoub Bayassine received the medal of the national order of merit in recognition of his efforts in training young people in the digital field.

At the same time, the Special Jury Prize for the Civics and Citizenship Competition was awarded to several people, including the young Moroccan Nour Bayassine, who at the age of 17, was the only Cergy resident in 2021 to have been accepted to Sciences Po Paris.

The award was also given to him in recognition of his efforts for equal opportunities and education for all.

Digital France School is a French-speaking network of digital schools that train people who are far from employment in jobs in demand on the digital market (web and mobile development, data, artificial intelligence, etc.).

This network of inclusive schools offers free training in technical digital professions for job seekers (young school dropouts – people in professional retraining – women – refugees – people with disabilities, etc.), in line with the needs of businesses and regions.

The network is one of the pioneering companies that have joined the “France, an opportunity. Companies are committed!” initiative, launched in July 2018 by President Emmanuel Macron. This program initially brought together 100 inclusive companies, then 10,000, committed to affirming the major role of companies in social cohesion.
