Hollywood star Sigourney Weaver (“Alien”) will appear for the first time in London’s West End in a production of a play by William Shakespeare. As announced on Tuesday, the 74-year-old will take on the role of Prospero in a new production of “The Tempest” at the end of the year. Movie stars Tom Hiddleston (“The Avengers”) and Hayley Atwell (“Destiny Impossible: Dead Reckoning”) will then appear on stage in “Much Ado About Nothing”.

Both plays are part of the upcoming Shakespeare season at the long-standing Theater Royal Drury Lane, owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music label, and will be directed by acclaimed director Jamie Lloyd. “The Storm” begins on December 7th and will run until February 1st, 2025. “Much Ado About Nothing” runs from February 10th to April 5th, 2025.
