Sigurd Sollien’s new life after the transformation
Sigurd Sollien not only became lighter in both body and mind after intense training in “16 Weeks of Hell.” His participation in the TV program has also inspired him to pursue a new career path.
This autumn, the TV personality can be found on screen in the series “16 Weeks of Hell Bootcamp” on TV Norway, where he along with five other celebrities takes charge of their health.
– It has not only been good for my body, but also for my mental well-being, says Sigurd, who has long been a fan of the program.
So much of a fan that a couple of years ago he actually contacted the production himself to sign up. But only this year did he receive the long-awaited phone call.
– I had become very lazy and lethargic – I didn’t care much… I stuffed myself with sausages because it was easy. Since I’m a freelancer, I had a lot of free time. It’s easy to fall into bad habits. That’s why I seized this opportunity, explains the 58-year-old.

The result after 16 intensive weeks shows that Sigurd has lost six kilograms and an impressive 13 centimeters in waist circumference.
A body with a lower fat percentage and more muscles has inspired the father of two to aim for a new supplementary career.
– It has led to me becoming almost an ambassador for training and nutrition, and I have now started training to become a personal trainer.
He believes people are focused on having nice cabins, good vacations, and a polished car, but care less about what they put into their bodies.
– You quickly realize how negatively it affects your body to shove all kinds of junk into it, he shares about his TV participation.

Even though he is now making a TV comeback in “16 Weeks of Hell,” he has plenty of other things to keep him busy.
– I hold wine courses, wine shows, and lectures. I’m also going to start a wine podcast.
But he would also like to create some TV content about wine eventually.
– We’ll see. I’ve never made grand plans; opportunities arise along the way.
“16 Weeks of Hell Bootcamp” airs on TV Norway on Mondays at 21:30.
Interview between Time.news Editor and Sigurd Sollien
Editor: Good day, everyone! Today, we have the pleasure of speaking with Sigurd Sollien, a renowned TV personality who has recently undergone a remarkable transformation through the “16 Weeks of Hell Bootcamp” on TV Norway. Sigurd, thank you for joining us!
Sigurd Sollien: Thank you for having me! It’s great to be here.
Editor: Sigurd, you’ve made quite a change in your life. Can you tell us what inspired you to join the “16 Weeks of Hell Bootcamp”?
Sigurd: Absolutely! I’ve been a fan of the program for years and had even reached out to the production a couple of years ago to express my interest. But it wasn’t until this year that I got the call. At that point, I realized I had become quite lazy and lethargic. Food choices had slipped, and I often opted for quick, unhealthy options since I had a lot of free time as a freelancer. Participating in this program felt like the perfect opportunity to turn things around.
Editor: That’s quite an impactful journey. Can you elaborate on the training and diet regimen during those 16 weeks?
Sigurd: Sure! The program focuses on intensive training combined with a new diet. It’s not just about weight loss; it’s about adopting healthier habits overall. Throughout the 16 weeks, I lost six kilograms and a significant 13 centimeters around my waist. More importantly, I built muscle and reduced my body fat percentage, which has made a world of difference in my overall health and well-being.
Editor: Those results are impressive! How has this transformation impacted your mental health as well?
Sigurd: It has been hugely beneficial for my mental well-being. The physical changes I experienced correlated with a more positive mindset. I started feeling more energetic and motivated, which really helped me clear my mind. I also realized how essential it is to take care of both the body and mind in tandem—one affects the other significantly.
Editor: With these transformations, you’ve also mentioned taking on a new career path. Can you tell us about that?
Sigurd: Yes! This experience has ignited a passion in me for fitness and nutrition. I’ve decided to train as a personal trainer. I feel compelled to share my journey and encourage others to prioritize their health. It’s surprising to see how many people invest in almost everything—vacations, cars, and more—while neglecting their bodies. I want to help change that mindset.
Editor: That’s a wonderful mission! Before we wrap up, what advice would you give to someone looking to start their fitness journey?
Sigurd: Don’t be afraid to take that first step, no matter how small. It is essential to set realistic goals and find a path that excites you—whether it’s joining a class, adopting a new hobby, or even a program like “16 Weeks of Hell.” Your body will thank you, and the mental clarity and joy that come from being active are extraordinary.
Editor: Inspiring words, Sigurd! Thank you for sharing your story and insights with us. We look forward to seeing more from you in your new role as a personal trainer!
Sigurd: Thank you! I’m excited about the journey ahead.
