The net profit in the second quarter amounted to 4.5 million dollars. The company expects continued growth in the next quarter, but notes that the lack of components makes it difficult for it to realize the full potential of the high order backlog

Sillicom reported today (Thursday) revenues of $34.2 million, an increase of 13% compared to the corresponding quarter in 2021. The net profit (in GAAP terms) amounted to 4.5 million dollars, an annual increase of 122%. In total, the company’s revenues in the first half of the year amounted to 66.2 million dollars, an annual increase of 12%, and the net profit was 6.7 million dollars.

In the next quarter, Silicon expects revenues of 38-40 million dollars. Silicon’s order backlog is at a record level, but the company clarifies that its ability to fulfill the orders depends on the availability of the components. Basilikum estimates that the shortage of components will continue even in 2023.

Silicon develops and manufactures acceleration and communication cards for communication networks. The company benefits from a trend in the telecom world that has received the nickname “Decoupling and Disaggregation” of communication networks. This is a growing separation between the hardware components and the software components in the communication infrastructures, starting at the level of the local and regional networks, for communication between servers in data centers and ending with wired and wireless (cellular) telecom infrastructures.

The CEO of the company is Liron Eismanen, who was appointed to his position in May and replaced the legendary CEO of the company, Sheika Auerbach, who served in the position since 2001.
