Recently, the reports about a possible transfer of Bernardo Silva to Barcelona increased. One of the players who know the Portuguese well is Sergio Aguero, ex-Catalans himself, who collaborated with Silva at Manchester City. In an interview in England, the striker expressed his opinion on the potential connection between the midfielder and Xavi’s team.
“Bernardo is a wonderful player, he holds the ball well, he has the ability to cook and score goals in addition to his ability to play in a variety of positions on the field. If he arrives at Barcelona, he will be a key player in the style of play that Xavi is trying to instill at Camp Nou, I find it hard to believe that Manchester City will make him leave, but anything is possible,” he said Aguero.
The Portuguese midfielder himself spoke about his future in an interview with ESPN when he said: “I’m happy in Manchester but I have no idea what’s going to happen. If I stay, I will be very happy and respect the club’s wishes, if not, it’s football and we’ll see what happens.” Barcelona is interested in the player and City is willing to sell at the right price, but given the financial situation of the Catalans, Silva’s move to Camp Nou will not be easy to do in the current window, but is still on the agenda.
