Silvio Berlusconi’s children have stopped paying a total of 21 women who had been receiving 2,500 euros a month for eleven years as “compensation for damage to their reputation” because of their participation in the Bunga Bunga parties in the former Prime Minister’s villa.

In addition, rental and usage contracts for several apartments and houses in which several women had been allowed to live at Berlusconi’s expense were terminated. According to Italian media, the payments totaled around eleven million euros.

Berlusconi, who died in June at the age of 86, had always rejected prosecutors’ accusation that the payments were hush money for potential witnesses in the numerous cases against the politician and entrepreneur.
