Bari Vecchia, 1985: Michele, son of the smuggler and trafficker Don Nicola Straziota, decides not to follow in his father’s footsteps and runs away from the family chased by Maria De Santis, nicknamed for her insolent character Malacarne, in love with him. It starts like this Story of a decent family, the miniseries directed by Stefano Reali aired on Canale 5 every Wednesday in prime time (until November 24). The series, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Rosa Ventrella, sees as protagonists Giuseppe Zeno (interpreter of Antonio De Santis) e Simona Cavallari (his wife Teresa De Santis). For the actress it is a return to the set after almost seven years of being away from the scene, a new chapter in an intense career divided between cinema, television and theater that will continue with the new stages of Mi amavi still …, a show that Cavallari is bringing throughout Italy together with Ettore Bassi, and with Viola come il mare, a series with Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi arriving in 2022.
