JAKARTA, Waspada.co.id – The budget realization distributed through the Regional Grant Agreement Document (NPHD) for the implementation of the Simultaneous Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) reached IDR 34.57 trillion until August 6, 2024.
Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that in this scheme, each regional government (pemda) distributes a grant budget to the Ministry of Finance to be distributed to the General Election Commission (KPU) and the General Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).
The realization reached 92 percent of the total NPHD budget set at IDR 37.52 trillion.
“So for this regional election, the regional government has spent Rp34.57 trillion from its APBD, granted to the center, to the Ministry of Finance. The Ministry of Finance directly distributed it to the KPU and Bawaslu, until August 6. Later, the total overall that already has an agreement will have a budget of Rp37.52 trillion,” said Sri Mulyani, Tuesday (13/8).
Sri Mulyani detailed that the realization of the grant budget alias NPHD distributed to the KPU was recorded at IDR 26.85 trillion or 93 percent of the total budget for the KPU of IDR 28.76 trillion. Meanwhile, the realization of NPHD for Bawaslu was IDR 7.72 trillion or around 88 percent of the total budget set at IDR 8.75 trillion.
“So it’s as if the regional government is giving it to the central (government), but it’s actually for the elections in their respective regions,” he said.
Based on coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), interception of the Treasury Deposit Facility (TDF), Special Allocation Fund (DAK) or Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) will also be carried out for local governments that have not fulfilled their obligations.
Overall, the Ministry of Finance noted that the realization of the 2024 Election budget as of August 1, 2024 was IDR 29.8 trillion or 78 percent of the total ceiling of IDR 38.2 trillion.
The budget realization through the KPU and Bawaslu was recorded at IDR 27.1 trillion, while that through 14 other ministries/institutions (K/L) was IDR 2.7 trillion. (wol/inilah/man/d2)
