From March 3, the use of QR codes will be stopped in Moscow, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. Restrictions on visiting catering establishments, theaters, museums, as well as concerts, entertainment, cultural, entertainment, educational and sports events are also lifted.

The home regime for Muscovites over 60 years old and those who have chronic diseases has become recommendatory instead of mandatory. In addition, in the coming days, the work of circles and sections of the Moscow Longevity program will be fully resumed.

It is noted that the decision was made in connection with the gradual normalization of the situation with COVID-19 in the city. The number of new omicron cases and hospitalizations continues to decline.

On March 2, it was reported that 386 people with COVID-19 were hospitalized in Moscow over the past day. Taking into account the dominance of the Omicron strain and the characteristics of the course of the disease in this variant of the virus, the number of hospitalizations is considered the most important indicator for assessing the situation. During the day, 3024 cases of coronavirus infection and 81 deaths were recorded in the capital, 5203 patients recovered.
