Singapore, Japan top list of 2022 most influential passports

Henley & Partners has released a list of the most influential passports for 2022.

Henley & Partners has been publishing the list since 2006 with data from the International Air Transport Association.

The Passport Index, which is updated quarterly, is compiled using exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

For this 199 different passports and 227 different travel destinations were inspected.

According to the list, Singapore and Japan topped the list. With the passport of these two countries you can travel to 192 countries without a visa.

In second place are South Korea and Germany. With their passport you can travel to 190 countries without a visa.

In third place are Italy, Finland, Luxembourg and Spain. With their passport you can travel to 189 countries without a visa.

Britain, USA and New Zealand are in 6th place. Australia is in 7th place.

Sri Lanka’s passport is ranked 102nd. This will allow you to travel to 41 countries without a visa.

Malaysia is ranked 12th and India 83rd. With an Indian passport you can travel to 60 countries without a visa.

Afghanistan is at the bottom of the list. That passport can only travel to 26 countries without a visa.
