The Singapore Open Badminton Tournament is being held in Singapore. In the women’s singles semi-final held yesterday, PV Sindhu advanced to the final round by defeating Japan’s Sayana Kawakami in straight sets 21-15, 21-7.
Gold for an Indian player
India’s Aishwari Tomar won the gold medal in the 50m rifle-3 category at the ISSF shooting competition held in Changwannagar, South Korea. In the final round, he defeated Hungary’s Jalan Beklar 16-12.
