But in the world of culture: the American singer, rapper and actor Aaron Carter passed away tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) at the age of 34 – this was reported in the US media.

Carter’s body was reportedly found in the bathtub of his home in California. “It is with great sadness that we announce that Aaron Carter is found this morning at his home in Palmdale, California, unresponsive,” the singer’s pages on social media read.

Carter is the younger brother of the “Backstreet Boys” band member Nick Carter, who even collaborated with him on some of his songs and performed with him on tours. He began his musical career in 1997 when he was only 9 years old, and released five albums during his career. His second album, Aaron’s Party (“Aron’s party”), was a great success and following it he went on a joint tour with Britney Spears.

At the same time as his musical career, Carter became famous as an actor when he appeared in television series of the “Nickelodeon” channel. Later he also performed in Broadway shows and competed in the American version of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2009. In recent years, Carter tried to change musical direction and became a rapper, but did not gain the popularity he had in the 90s.

In the last decade, Carter has dealt with addiction to drugs and painkillers, and even entered a rehab center in 2017. A year later he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, and in 2020 he filed a complaint against his partner Melanie Martin, who he claims was violent towards him.
