GodSinger and music director Sarath congratulated Nanchamma who won the best female singer award at Shia Film Awards.
Sarath’s appreciation was in a video shared on Facebook. Sarath says that this award is a recognition of Nanchamma’s goodness.

Very happy to be in front of you. Because our sister has received a national award. Is it a matter of playing the National Award? This is India’s biggest award. We are very happy that our sister-in-law got it. Nanjiamma appeared in Star Singer recently. Amma sang for us on that stage. There is nothing else in mother’s mind..mother is just poor. Panchapavam is sincere love, all this I understood when I saw Amma. A good hearted mother. Nothing more to say. This is an award for the goodness in the mother’s mind. Even though it’s true. I am very happy. Anyway, sing along. May mom get more accolades. Amma is ready whenever you ask her to sing. I don’t know why the mother knows the value of the national award. Mom this is Periya Award.. Love Mom a lot. A hug and a kiss.
At the same time, singer Linu Lal had come to the scene criticizing Nanjayamma’s award. Linu asks if the song sung by Nanjamma is the best song of last year. Linu Lal had asked that Nanchamma would not be able to sing a normal song even if given a month’s time and wouldn’t this recognition be considered an insult to those who have devoted their lives to music.
