Last weekend, the singer Avi Aburomi gave an interview to Raz Shachnik in ‘Ideot Ahronoth’ and talked about getting closer to Judaism, after he converted several years ago: “I am a Jew at heart, very strong in religion. Kiddush every Friday, observant and kosher.”
Later in his words, he said that he usually consults with rabbis, especially in recent times: “Ever since the conversion I was strong in the matter of going to a rabbi, and in recent years I found myself going to Rabbi Yonatan Partosh of Bnei Brak, who is a student of Rabbi Yigal Cohen. I consult with both of them, I talk to them.”
What are you consulting on?
“About life. People think that we only talk about Halacha issues, but when you go to a Torah class, most of the class is about how you look at life, what is the right approach. I don’t consult with them about my career, but about love, relationships, soul, anxiety attacks, faith”.
Is there a chance you will repent someday?
“If the Holy One, blessed be He, wills, why not.”
The Shabbat Square learned that Avorumi participates every week in Rabbi Yonatan Partosh’s class and is credited by Rabbi Yigal Cohen, head of the Yabia Omer institutions.
