In the Czech Republic, the vocalist of the popular Czech folk group Asonance, Hanka Horka, died of coronavirus. The singer was an opponent of vaccination and specifically infected in order to acquire natural immunity. This was reported by the Daily Mail on January 18.
Hana Horka died Sunday after being infected with the Delta strain at the age of 57. She voluntarily exposed herself to the virus when her husband and son, both vaccinated, contracted it before Christmas.

According to the singer’s son Jan Rek, she chose a “normal life” without coronavirus restrictions and preferred to get sick rather than get vaccinated. And two days before her death, she shared her plans to go to the sea with her family.
“I survived, it was hard. So now there will be a theater, a sauna, a concert and an urgent trip to the sea, ”she wrote in her last message.
After an imaginary recovery, the singer went for a walk, but returned home due to back pain. She died soon after, suffocating in her bed.
Horka’s son blamed vaccine opponents for his mother’s death. According to him, the leaders of the local anti-vaccine movement “brainwashed Hanka”, which is why she refused to go for the vaccine. As a result, the singer “trusted strangers more than her own family,” he said.
Earlier, on January 17, The Observer newspaper reported that the most ardent activists of the anti-vaccination movement are recruiting new adherents on social networks using special spy apps and inciting hatred in their environment, including on racial and national grounds.

On January 12, a mass protest against the introduction of COVID-19 vaccination certificates took place in the capital of Bulgaria. Thousands of protesters blocked traffic in the city center and surrounded the building of the Bulgarian Parliament, some of them tried to force their way inside. The protesters called the measures to combat coronavirus “discrimination against citizens who do not have green certificates.”
