At the end of June, Lena Meyer-Landrut had to cancel two concerts. On Saturday, June 29, she was scheduled to perform at the Tollwood Festival in München appear. Just a few minutes before the show, the performance was cancelled. A day later, a performance was planned in Wangen. The singer was unable to make this date either. The reason for both cancellations: a medical emergency.
On Sunday afternoon she wrote on Instagram: “I wasn’t feeling well during the day and then in the evening I got cramp-like stomach and kidney pains and had to throw up shortly before the show started.” Her team later spoke up. “Unfortunately, Lena’s condition worsened again during the afternoon and she had to go to the hospital again with severe pain.”
After that, things went quiet on the singer’s Instagram profile. But now Lena Meyer-Landrut is back with a photo. The 33-year-old is sitting in the sun, wearing a green polka dot top, a matching cap and dark sunglasses. The musician is smiling. She wrote with the summer snapshot: “Slowly back on my feet. A few days’ break and rest were necessary. Thank you for your well-wishes and patience.” Lena Meyer-Landrut added a red heart emoji behind it.
In just 15 minutes, the post received more than 5,000 likes. Numerous fans commented on the post. “I’m glad you’re feeling better,” wrote one user. “Thinking of you, get well soon, lots of love,” commented another. Also included: “The most important thing is and remains health!”
Lena Meyer-Landrut still has a few days to recover. She will not be back on stage until July 19 in Plauen. Five more concerts are also planned.
