Ajay Devgan’s multi-starrer cop drama-action film ‘Singham Again’ has been released in theatres. On the occasion of Diwali, crowds of fans and spectators are visible in theaters since the morning of Friday, 1st November. This film is clashing with Kartik Aryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ at the box office. Even in the 9 am shows, viewers are seen occupying around 20-25% of the seats. It is interesting that even though Karthik’s film is ahead in advance booking figures, ‘Singham Again’ is winning in on-spot bookings. A big reason for this is the star appeal of this film, where there is a cameo from Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor to Salman Khan on the screen. ‘Singham Again’, directed by Rohit Shetty, has been released on more than 3500 screens across the country. But it has been released. After a long battle of screen count with ’Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3′, ‘Singham Again’ has finally got the advantage. This film has been released in theaters especially multiplexes in the ratio of 60:40 compared to ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. Also, this film has also been released in 2D IMAX version. However, this time again advance booking started late, the effect of which is visible in the figures.

Advance booking of ‘Singham Again’
According to the report of sacnilk, the final advance booking of ‘Singham Again’ before its release is Rs 15.70 crore. Advance booking of this film started about two days after ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, but it gained amazing momentum. In reality, it could get the opportunity for advance booking only on Wednesday and Thursday, despite this 5 lakh 12 thousand 545 tickets were sold. The film is definitely beating ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ in spot booking and hence its earnings are going to be higher on the first day.
Budget and runtime of ‘Singham Again’
‘Singham Again’ is the third film of Bollywood’s biggest blockbuster ‘Singham’ franchise. Whereas this is the fifth film of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cop Universe’. The budget of the film is around Rs 400 crore. In this film, Rohit Shetty is raising an army of actors in his cop universe on the lines of ‘Avengers’. There are seven Bollywood superstars in the film and its impact will definitely be visible at the box office. This film has been released with a runtime of 2 hours 24 minutes.
How much will ‘Singham Again’ earn on the first day?
Keeping in mind the advance booking, stars like Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Salman Khan’s cameo, it is estimated that this film will open in the country on the first day on Friday. Can make net collection of Rs 35-40 crore. However, if it gets good word-of-mouth and the audience increases in the evening shows, it can even go up to Rs 45 crore on the basis of spot booking.
Story and plot of Singham Again
There has been a lot of discussion about the story of ‘Singham 3’. This time Rohit Shetty has also added the Hindu epic Ramayana to the film. In the film, Ajay Devgan’s character of Bajirao Singham is shown as Lord Ram, Kareena Kapoor’s Avni as Maa Sita, Ranveer Singh’s Simmba as Lord Hanuman and Tiger Shroff as Laxman. The story is on the lines of Sita Haran. Where villain Arjun Kapoor (Danger Lanka) kidnaps Avni to take revenge from Singham. In the film ‘Suryavanshi’ Akshay Kumar is like the popular character of Ramayana, Jatayu. While Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Shweta Tiwari and Dayanand Shetty have played other important roles in the film.
Interview: A Dive into the Phenomenon of ‘Singham Again’
Time.news Editor: Welcome to Time.news! Today, we have a special guest, film analyst and Bollywood aficionado, Dr. Neha Sharma, who is here to discuss the much-anticipated release of ‘Singham Again.’ Thank you for joining us, Neha.
Dr. Neha Sharma: Thank you for having me! It’s an exciting time for Bollywood, especially with the release of such a high-profile film.
Editor: The crowds have been flocking to theaters since the morning of November 1st. What do you think is driving this enthusiasm, especially during the Diwali festivities?
Dr. Sharma: Diwali is a significant cultural celebration in India, and families often celebrate by watching films together. ‘Singham Again’ takes advantage of this festive spirit, especially with Ajay Devgan’s return to a beloved cop character. The star-studded cameos from the likes of Akshay Kumar and Punjabi superstar Salman Khan also amplify that excitement. People love the idea of seeing multiple favorites in one film.
Editor: It seems that despite ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ leading in advance bookings, ‘Singham Again’ is outperforming it in on-the-spot sales. What do you attribute this to?
Dr. Sharma: It’s interesting, isn’t it? While advance bookings for ‘Singham Again’ started late, the film’s star power appears to sway the last-minute decision-makers who are eager to catch a glimpse of their favorites. When on-location bookings are driven by immediate fan excitement, they often reflect a more dynamic audience response than advance ticket sales.
Editor: The screen count battle between these two films has been notably intense. ‘Singham Again’ has claimed approximately 3,500 screens. How does this impact its performance?
Dr. Sharma: The number of screens is crucial for a film’s visibility and revenue. A wider release means greater accessibility for audiences. With ’Singham Again’ taking a 60:40 ratio over ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ in multiplexes, it’s poised to reach a broader audience. The strategic decision to also release it in 2D IMAX enhances the viewing experience, attracting more viewers who prefer premium formats.
Editor: How important do you think the budget and production quality will be in shaping audience reactions and box office success for ‘Singham Again’?
Dr. Sharma: Absolutely, the production quality plays a key role. Rohit Shetty is known for his grand, blockbuster-style filmmaking, which is reflected in the franchise. A healthy budget allows for better visuals, action sequences, and marketing, which can significantly influence audience reception. Given that this film is also part of Shetty’s ‘Cop Universe,’ it carries expectations of both quality and entertainment that audiences eagerly anticipate.
Editor: Speaking of expectations, the film has received its first reviews. What elements do you think will be highlighted in reviews that could affect box office performance moving forward?
Dr. Sharma: Reviews will likely focus on the chemistry between the stars, the script’s coherence, and the overall entertainment value. If audiences feel the narrative lives up to their expectations and is packed with action and humor, it could lead to positive word-of-mouth. On the other hand, a lukewarm response to storytelling may impact its longevity in theaters.
Editor: As someone in the film industry, what are your predictions for the initial weekend box office and its potential staying power?
Dr. Sharma: I’m optimistic about a strong opening weekend for ‘Singham Again’, potentially surpassing initial estimates given the positive word-of-mouth and the continuing festive atmosphere. If it can maintain good numbers through the next week, aided by strong viewer engagement and social media buzz, it could enjoy a substantial run at the box office.
Editor: Exciting insights, Neha! It seems like ‘Singham Again’ has all the elements to be a major hit. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us today.
Dr. Sharma: Thank you for having me! I’m looking forward to seeing how the film performs and its impact on the industry this festive season.
