JAKARTA – Salma Salsabil or known as Salma Idol became one of the performers in the celebration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (17/8/2023). Salma appeared in a series of events to lower the red and white flag.
On this occasion, Salma sang the Indonesian Raya Symphony song composed by Guruh Sukarno Putra in front of invited guests and of course President Jokowi and his ministers.
Salma was seen wearing a woven blazer combined with a headscarf and brown culottes. Plus high-heeled shoes, which also have the same color as the pants and headscarf.
The singing prowess of being the first winner of Indonesian Idol season XII was able to enchant the guests present at the State Palace. They seemed to follow the chant sung by the singer from Probolinggo.
Being a performer at the Merdeka Palace was Salma’s first experience. This is of course a matter of pride for the 21-year-old singer.
After Salma, there is a legendary Indonesian band that also entertained guests at the Merdeka Palace in the series of events for the 78th Indonesian Independence Day, namely Kahitna. They sang several hit songs such as Soulmate and A Year Yesterday.
In addition, at the red and white flag-raising ceremony this morning, the winner of the Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent, Putri Ariani, also entertained and invited the invited guests to dance at the Merdeka Palace by singing the song Rungkad which was popularized by Happy Asmara.
