BOLZANO. Now even America can say it knows Jannik Sinner a little better. And not only for the extraordinary ride that led him to win the US Open, beating in the final one of the idols of tennis and stars and stripes, Taylor Fritz.
Jannik has in fact also been a protagonist on US TV, and in particular on ABC. He was the most anticipated and acclaimed guest on the morning show “Live Kelly and Mark”. Jannik explained that he comes from a small village in the far north of the Belpaese, in the mountains, where you live in nature: «We are a little different, Italy is beautiful and very varied».

Sinner also spoke about his beginnings as a skier, explaining that he then chose tennis because with skiing “if you make a mistake you’re out, while in tennis you can make several, you just have to accept them and move on.”
Regarding his mental strength during matches, Jannik admitted that “sometimes you have to play with a poker face, but inside you there is a storm, which cannot be seen from the outside.”
