Jannik Sinner Provides Update on Physical Condition
Montreal, Canada – Tennis star Jannik Sinner has addressed concerns about his physical condition after struggling in his recent matches. After losing in the Montreal quarterfinal to Andrey Rublev, Sinner revealed that he has been dealing with right hip pain.
“These kinds of things are a bit more mental than physical,” Sinner explained. “Even though I know my body is not as ready as I would like because of the past few weeks, it’s also a mental state. We hope to get back in shape.”
Sinner was forced to play two matches in one day due to interruptions on Thursday, which he admitted was physically demanding. He also opted to manage his hip pain himself, choosing not to consult with the doctor or physiotherapist.
Despite the physical challenges, Sinner secured his place in the ATP Finals by defeating Tabilo in the quarterfinals. He remains optimistic about his chances for the US Open, which is the last Slam of the year.
“I don’t think it’s possible to be 100% ready for Cincinnati,” Sinner admitted, “but I think I can do it for the US Open.”
