The 19-year-old Italian talent, already number 22 in the world, leaves the scene in the second round against the Serbian champion, world number 1 and first seeded, with a score of 6-4, 6-2 in an hour and 35 minutes . Sinner can console himself at least in part with the compliments of Djokovic, who in the hot interview after the match spoke of him as “the future of our sport and perhaps even the present”.
