Siri, make us something to eat. And then take the dog out for a walk, okay?

Who: Ohad Razi (27), Lior Moyal (36) and Shuli (3)
where: Corduro Street
seniority: a month
meterage: 80 square meters

Maybe it’s thanks to the real parquet, maybe thanks to the sophisticated technology, or maybe simply thanks to the special relationship between them – but Ohad and Lior’s apartment is only 30 days old and it already feels like the house they’ve been living in for years. Ohad, an architecture student, and Lior, a hardware engineer at Apple, have been together for two years, but just a month ago they combined their addresses and moved to Florentine. This is not a colorful apartment full of vintage furniture from the market. Everything here is connected to Siri, and the technology has penetrated even unexpected elements such as the front door and the vacuum cleaner. That’s how it is when you live with an engineer at Apple.

“We lived in separate apartments, each of which was amazing in its own right, so we didn’t have to move,” says Ohad. “We found this apartment in exchange (yes, it turns out that sometimes it works) so we moved in, and the previous tenant moved to Lior’s apartment. We fell in love with it at first sight and knew we would do everything to win it.”

the living room

“We bought most of the furniture in the living room at a Contrast store in the south of the city. The flower pots came from our two apartments that were particularly green and were re-located in the space. One of our favorite elements in particular is the lighting fixture that hangs above the TV cabinet – a sequence of modular hexagons that Lior bought in Barcelona and he also, like most things in the house, Controlled by Siri When we throw in the air ‘Siri movie mode?’ She dims the lights and changes their hue; when we say ‘Siri, lock the door’ it happens immediately and when someone asks ‘Siri, clean the house’ the iRobot starts working. From the living room comes a small balcony, colorful and full of flowers, which is Shuli’s favorite corner who loves to be nervous in the sun”.

the kitchen

“The kitchen faces the living room, so it’s really fun to cook in it, and we are serious cooks. The wall above the counter is covered with corks from wine bottles, which is one of the cool things that came with the apartment. Although not very practical for cleaning, but very special and beautiful. We believe that over time we will continue to fill the The line is that we have plenty of wine.”

The dining area

“The kitchen and living room space are connected and the partition between them is the dining table. We really like to host, whether for drinks or for meals, and this apartment is excellent for that. On the shelves there are quite a few bottles of alcohol of all kinds and species, as well as ceramic vessels that I have made in recent years. Lior has developed a hobby Relatively new to making candles inside my ceramic vessels, which give them a new life. Every guest who comes to us gets one.”

the bathroom

“The shower is unequivocally our favorite place in the house. The sink dresser is made from an antique sewing machine and most of the things around it are not antique and even electric – the toothbrushes, the soap, the lighting fixtures and even the bin work automatically. The floor in the shower itself is made of pebbles and there is nothing as fun as the touch of them with your paws The legs. We feel in Thailand. The shower also has a large window and has two showers that work at the same time, which is altogether a tremendous experience. The majority of the entire bathroom is light blue – it’s unbelievable how such a simple choice of a marginal detail in the design significantly upgrades the overall appearance and makes it really special.” .

bedroom

“The bedroom is at the end of the hallway of the house, where the bathroom, guest toilet and study are also located. Shuli’s bed is next to ours, but she usually comes up to us at night. She already only knows how to walk to Lior’s side. The bedroom is also controlled by Siri , and without any effort we say ‘good night’ to her and she makes sure to close the curtains, the doors, the lights and turn off the boiler. In the morning when we say ‘good morning’ to her she opens them all. She even has a ‘pee mode’ where she only knows how to turn on the light in the bathroom to light the way. Even Shuli has an Air Tag, and it’s a shame that Siri still doesn’t know how to take her for a walk. Maybe Lior will make sure that happens one day.”
