‘Sisu’ and ‘Pearl’, the big winners of the 55th Sitges Film Festival

Directed by Jalmari Helander, ‘Sisu’ won the awards for best feature film; best male performance by Jorma Tommila; best photography and music. Filmmaker Ti West received the award for best director for ‘Pearl’ and the film’s protagonist, Mia Goth, received the award for best female performance.

The list has also awarded a ‘Project Wolf Hunting’, by Kim Hong-sun, with the special prize of the jury, and with a special mention, and ‘Fumer fait tousser’ and ‘Incroyable mais vrai’, both by Quentin Dupieux, have taken the prize for the best screenplay ex aequo . The audience prize went to ‘Irati’, by Paul Urkijo.
