This trend has been going on for many days. Here, in the district too, it is raining intermittently since Monday evening. However, there is not enough rain that water can remain in paddy cultivation. On the other hand, due to the rising water of the Ratto river, the diversion has broken once again. Due to this, a large population is facing problems in commuting.
The NH construction agency had made the diversion
The Ratto river also passes through the Choraut block of the district. It has been reported that the movement of people has once again been affected due to the collapse of both the diversions built in the Ratto river passing through Piraukhar village on the Choraut-Pupri road. A bridge is being constructed on NH 527 C in the Ratto river. A diversion was built near the bridge by the construction company, which collapsed two days ago. At the same time, the road and bridge construction is being done by the Path Prabandh Department from Choraut to Madhubani Chowk (Pupri). The diversion built by this department near the bridge construction work has collapsed, due to which the movement of people has been completely blocked.
children’s education affected
Due to the collapse of both the diversions, the people of the said block have faced a lot of problems in commuting to Pupri market and Pupri subdivision headquarters for various works. Children’s schooling has been affected. Some children are going to school somehow, risking their lives. It has been told that the diversion built by the NH construction agency at this place last month collapsed. The diversion built by the Road Construction Department collapsed on July 2. After the water level in the river decreased, on July 25, the NH work agency again constructed a diversion and started the traffic, and on July 27, people heaved a sigh of relief after the road construction department work agency constructed a diversion and made the traffic smooth. But due to the collapse of the diversion again, the problems of the people have increased due to the closure of traffic.
