Siva and boAt Announce Strategic Partnership for Next Generation of Wearable Audio Products

Wireless connectivity and smart sensing technology provider Siva (NASDAQ: CEVA) has announced a strategic partnership with boAt, India’s No. 1 brand in wearable audio products. The collaboration will focus on the development of boAt’s next generation of products, including stereophonic headphones, wireless speakers, and smartwatches.

The first product to come out of this partnership is the Nirvana Eutopia headphones, which will be based on Siva technologies such as Bluetooth, audio processors, and artificial intelligence. These headphones will feature advanced capabilities, such as the RealSpace spatial audio software that enables accurate positioning of sound according to head movements. The Nirvana Eutopia headphones are expected to launch in India during the first quarter of this year.

Samir Mehta, CEO of Imagine Marketing Limited, the parent company of boAt, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “boAt continues to raise the bar for high-quality audio products with premium features at an affordable price level. We are constantly looking for innovative technologies for our product line, and Siva is an excellent partner in this regard. Its broad portfolio of software products and audio, voice, and sensor fusion technologies opens up many opportunities for bringing new features and capabilities to boAt products.”

Chad Lucian, director of Siva’s sensors and audio division, added, “boAt has become a leading brand in the wearable audio products market, and Siva’s proven experience in working with leading technology companies in the consumer market make this partnership logical. Together, we can create innovative products and applications that leverage the best capabilities of both companies with the goal of providing an amazing audio and sound experience in headphones, speakers, and other wearable devices.”

In addition to the partnership with boAt, Siva also reported another licensing agreement with Taiwanese multimedia chip supplier Sunplus Technology (TWSE: 2401). Siva’s Bluetooth technology will be integrated into Sunplus’ airlyra series of audio chips, intended for wireless speakers, sound projectors, and other wireless audio devices in the premium product market segment.

Sunplus has already started supplying chips from this series to premium brands in the wireless audio market. Adam Wang, Sunplus Smart Product Line Manager, noted, “So far we have delivered more than 20 million audio chips based on Siva’s audio technology. Siva’s technology allows us to shorten the development process, provide performance with the lowest latency and power consumption, and integrate our chip into the world’s first sound projector, SPA101, which complies with Dolby, DTS, Bluetooth, and LE audio standards.”

Tal Shalio, director of Siva’s IoT division, emphasized that the variety of Siva’s technologies in the areas of connectivity, sensors, and data processing offers a synergistic solution for companies like Sunplus, allowing them to expand their activities in a variety of markets.

The strategic partnerships with boAt and Sunplus demonstrate Siva’s increasing presence and influence in the wearable audio products market, as well as the company’s commitment to driving innovation and excellence in this rapidly growing industry.
