(NYSE: CEVA), which is traded on the Nasdaq, has received approval to use the audio technology it developed in products based on Amazon’s Alexa voice service. Alexa, for the uninitiated, is a cloud-based virtual service that allows device manufacturers to offer voice-activated connected applications.

Siva’s audio technology includes the ClearVox voice processing software for canceling echoes and reducing background noise, and the WhisPro software for voice operation of home products and IoT devices, using keywords in different languages. Siva’s customers are, among others, end manufacturers and chip companies. After the approval, they will be able to integrate the technology into devices that will be activated through Alexa services – such as smart speakers, soundbars, televisions and smart IoT devices for the home.

At the end of the week, Siva reported that its Bluetooth 5 technology was integrated into the microcontroller series of the Chinese chip company Sino Wealth Electronic. These are for home appliances and industrial IoT products. The Chinese are developing microcontrollers for home applications, lithium battery management, smart meters, and industrial IoT products. In addition, it develops chips for OLED screens for mobile devices and wearable products.

Siva’s Bluetooth technology has so far been integrated into more than 3 billion products, including smartphones, tablets, wireless speakers, wireless headphones, hearing aids and other wearable devices.

The director of Siva’s IoT division, Tal Shalio: “Sino Wealth is one of the leading companies in the microcontroller market for home electrical products, and we are happy to strengthen its presence through our Bluetooth technology.”

Today, Siva provides secure wireless connectivity and smart sensing technologies to the cellular, electronics, automotive, robotics, space and security, and IoT markets. The company’s products include digital signal processors in the field of communication and cellular infrastructure (4th and 5th generation), and in the field of computer vision for cameras; artificial intelligence processors; encryption technologies; software for sensor fusion, image processing and augmented and virtual reality applications; audio, voice and speech processors for voice activation applications; and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and UWB connectivity technologies. In addition, the company provides its customers with advanced chip design services.
