Cuddalore: There was a stir in Chidambaram as many Sivanadiyars gathered for the demonstration. Meanwhile, the Theivathamil congregation sang Thevaram and Thiruvasakam over the Kanakasabai at the Natarajar Temple.
The world famous Natarajar Temple is located in Chidambaram. This is one of the most important vegetarian remedies. Many devotees from abroad, out-of-state, out-of-district and local visit the temple daily to pay homage to Natarajar and Sivagami Ambala. There is always a crowd of devotees in the temple.
At this point, the news came on a YouTube channel criticizing Swami Natarajar. This was opposed by various spiritual organizations, including devotees.
In this context, a protest was declared on behalf of the Sivanadiars demanding the arrest of the YouTube channel administrator who had published false comments about Swami Natarajar. Accordingly, a demonstration will be held in Chidambaram today (May 23). In this connection, the Sivanadiyars have been gathering in Chidambaram since early this morning.
As the protest was going on at 4 pm today, the Deivathamil assemblymen went to the Natarajar temple this morning to play Shiva instruments and sang Thevaram Thiruvasakam over the Kanakasabai.
More than 500 policemen led by Villupuram Goods DIG Pandian and Cuddalore SP Sakthi Ganesan have been deployed in Chidambaram.
