The assailant, identified as 20-year-old Abed al-Wahab Khalaila from the West Bank town of as-Samu, launched the attack by ramming his pickup truck into pedestrians on Pinchas Rosen Street in northern Tel Aviv. Fortunately, an armed civilian intervened and shot the terrorist dead.
